Transfiguration

Ms. Malfoy walked insidew the empty class with a box of rats in her hand waiting for the students to arrive.

Shay walked into the classroom looking forward to this class.

Liam walked in and went to his desk

"Welcome," she said curtly to the students, "Today we'll be learning about how to turn a rat into a glass, I know it's usual to start with needles, but I don't think you could waste anymore time, read it from your book, we'll totally go on to the bigger ones," she said handling each of them a seperate rat, "So, we start, swish your wand and flick and say Fera Verto, and concentrate. Start at the count of three, one, two, three Fera Verto!" she said and turned her rat into a perfect glass.

Shay looked at the rat in front of her and took her wand out. "Fera Verto!" she cried moving her wand in a swish and flick motion. "It worked!" she said, happily as her rat was now a glass.

Vandermorph sat at the back of the class watching his rat, it was watching him, finally Vandermorph got out his wand and said lazily fera verto and the rat turned into a glass. He shrugged, transfiguration was not something to celebrate if he got it right, because he was so excellent at it that if he DID celebrate every time he transfigured something, he would be celebrating 5 minutes into every lesson. Being the un selfish person he was he sat back and said nothing watching the others being praised for thier efforts.

"fera verto" liam said as the rat turned to glass

"Very good, now," she said clapping her hands together, "We'll stop as all of us have mastered it. Noqw, can anyone tell me the difference between a Trasfigured human and an Animagus?" she said looking eagerly around.

Carrie entered the class and then tried the spell also but it just wasn't working for her.

Ignoring Carrie, Shay replied. "The difference is you need a wand for human transfigruation and so much can go wrong but with an animagus you can change at will with no problems."

Vandermorph shrugged when he heard Shays reply, he wasnt going to argue because what she had said was 100% right.

"Exactly," she said smiling, "10 points to Ravenclaw, and remember, An Animagus
is a witch or wizard who can turn into a particular animal at will.
This ability is not innate: it must be acquired by magical means. All
Animagi must register at a central authority; it is illegal to obtain
this ability without registering. And Carri may I help you?" she said going over to Carrie and showing how the spell worked.

"Nah, i'll get it." Carrie said automatically and she was right, she did get it - 5 tries later.

Shay cheered happily to herself.

Slash looked at the rat trying to keep still but was jumping a bit. "I cant stand it!" He said transforming and landing on the table and ripping the rat's head off and ran out the door.
