Shay had been expecting Freddy to back down as she had dueled him once before and that was her when she wasn't angry at anyone. Now she waited to see if Dae would do the same as Freddy and if he was smart he would.

Shay listened and knew that she was not going to get Dae to put down his wand, he had made sure that she stayed alive and now she was going to do the same for him. "Protego!" she screamed. "Dae don't be a prat and just leave. What had he ever done to you, it's not his fault that other flippin' Death Eaters killed your parents, Freddy's different i know him and he isn't going to go killing your family." she said to him and then turned to Freddy and put her wand on her hip so it looked it she was just posing and she thought "Stupefy!" and it shot at Dae who wasn't expected it as she kept talking and made no sign that she had just shot a spell at him. "Right Freddy" Shay asked him.
